3rd Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • The technical installations on board our equipment must be well maintained at all times. As a 3rd Engineer, you are responsible for this, together with the Chief Engineer and the 2nd Engineer.
  • The focus is on optimizing the availability of the technical installation on board. This is your responsibility, together with the Chief Engineer and the 2nd Engineer, a big challenge!
  • Of course we can't forget safety. Environmental regulations on board as well as the maintenance of safety equipment (ISM & ISPS) are very important for Van Oord and you will make sure our high safety standard is met.
  • On a daily basis, you will consult with the Chief Engineer and the 2nd Engineer about all tasks to be performed.
  • The ships administration needs to be maintained in accordance with the Van Oord standards, which is also a part of your daily tasks.
Skills

Are you in possession of a Technical Maritime degree, or do you have solid practical experience as an engineer on board? Don't hesitate to apply!

 

Further requirements regarding STCW courses are applicable and next to the legal requirements, the 3rd Engineer will have to complete all Van Oord required training. Working internationally isn't a problem for you, seeing as our operations are taking place worldwide. This means you are also able to communicate in the English language on an accurate professional level.
