Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for negotiation & execution of spot & term contracts in the international tanker markets.
  • Provide marine commercial expertise to Chevron entities in the region to enable successful execution of enterprise level strategies.
  • Gather, interpret & analyze market intelligence to develop a robust forward market view.
  • Contribute to the development of sector specific tanker shipping strategies.
  • Manage business relationships with industry participants to create sustainable value for the enterprise.
  • Contribute to the company’s financial goals (pnl, daily earnings, freight benchmark performance, enterprise value capture)
Skills
  • An understanding of the global tanker market and business drivers across the value chain
  • Strong negotiation, analytical & communication skills
  • Strong networking and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high–pressured environment
  • A collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Experience with derivatives trading (commodities/freight)
  • Experience in leading cross functional projects

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations

Selected candidate will work under the local payroll system and benefits.
