Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in law and economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, Business, Finance, or a relevant field is required, with a master’s degree preferred.
- Intelligent risk taker who enjoys analyzing and rethinking problems – at the same time the person is interested in turning ideas into action.
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience in an environmental compliance or regulatory role, preferably in a regulated industry subject to ETS regulation.
- Relevant experience in business development and carbon project experience
- Proven track record within project accreditation process
- Strong understanding of ETS regulations, including emissions monitoring and reporting, environmental markets, and compliance obligations
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations and make sound recommendations based on this information.
- Ability to work independently, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
- Familiarity with carbon accounting software and data management systems is preferred.
- Very good communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Clear communicator in English, both written and spoken form, and able to structure ideas logically, communicate trade-offs, and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and making decisions under uncertainty.
