Country Manger

Job Responsibilities

  • You develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the country, including government officials, business partners, (and customers if requested by business management).
  • You understand national industry and market trends, and ensure the organization’s support structure is developed in line with business requirements resulting from it.
  • You ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, and manage risks affecting the company's operations in Germany.
  • You lead and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve company goals.
  • You may represent the company in public forums, and media events and you collaborate with other departments and teams across the organization to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and operations.
  • You are responsible for the overhead budget in Germany and monitor indirect country-related costs. You also monitor hub location budgets, as delivered by the hub managers.
  • The location for the role is Berlin, however the location could be flexible with a minimum 60% presence in our Germany locations being a requirement.
Skills
  • You have a master’s degree in a relevant field and relevant work experience.
  • You are fluent in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken formats.
  • You have proven leadership experience in a multinational organisation, preferably within a technical environment.
  • You also have a demonstrated track record of successfully managing teams and delivering results in a fast paced, dynamic and technical environment.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence key stakeholders. Strategic thinking and analytical skills come naturally to you, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions.
