Deputy Technical Director

Job Responsibilities

·Implement and monitor the BOURBON maintenance and fleet integrity policies.
·Supervise and support Technical Superintendents in order to define proper technical definition and answers for faced issues.
·Responsible to promote and contribute in HSE culture on board in Engine room.
·Contribute in HSE incidents investigations.
·Manage Unplanned Maintenance Period (UPMP) aiming to reduce technical downtime and cost to the minimum.
·Ensure that supporting functions are aligned with technical superintendents (HSE, Finance, Crewing, Purchasing, Operations Managers).
·Monitor monthly KPI, support TS to prepare for Monthly KPI meeting, analyze results and provide corrective/preventive actions.
·Prepare and monitor the reporting for the Affiliate Technical Department activities (defects, feedbacks, improvements, reporting).
·Ensure quality based reporting in Task Assistant software and ensure unscheduled jobs quality based reporting.
·Provide feedback to BTS with expertise about any technical failures occurred on company vessels.
·Support Superintendents in class surveys and ensure closing of any non-conformity.
·Ensure Vessel' compliance to IMO conventions.
·Ensuring Management of Change (Moc) and risk assessment tools fully understood on board and applied for any changes as prescribed in MoC procedure.
·Ensure Vessel' technical inspection executed as per ship management plan and all findings closed timely, provide analysis of common/frequent findings and propose improvements.
·Manage and supervise maintenance hub in Qatar, set KPIs validate coordination and assignation of hub team.
·Contribute to the monitoring of the OPEX technical budgets.
·Reporting any outstanding or overruns of maintenance budget.
·Perform other cognate duties as assigned by Management.

Skills

·Hold at least a Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competence.
·Relevant 5 years' experience as Technical Manager or Fleet Technical Superintendent/, or equivalent position in Maritime or oil and Gas company.
·Have excellent knowledge of MS Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
·Sound organization skills and able to interact, produce and report with a professional approach at all times.
·Have a detail-oriented mindset and pay attention to details.
·Work independently and be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
·A perfect command English is mandatory.
