Electrical Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• You are the senior counterpart of the project managers, project team and other stakeholders;
• You delegate and monitor the workload of the group of electrical engineers assigned to the project team;
• You determine the requirements for the electrical installations based on the project requirements;
• You support the tendering process;
• You advise on technical solutions to achieve the project goals;
• You check whether the technical proposals from suppliers match the requirements;
• You are responsible for planning major repairs and adjustments;
• You assist with the planning and cost estimate of the project;
• You prepare final reports for the project manager (both electrical and financial);
• You perform and are present at inspections.

The position

 

As a senior Electrical Engineer you are involved in our new newbuild projects from the design phase to implementation. In this position you are the designated specialist to prepare and supervise modifications and the construction of new ships. You are the link between the project manager, project team, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

The Electrical team is part of our Ship Management Department and is responsible for maintaining, modifying and developing our sustainable equipment for the Dredging, Offshore and Offshore Wind business units. The location of this position is at our office in Rotterdam. For this position you may have to travel, in consultation, to visit the ship on location.
