coordinate the supply and repair of essential equipment for vessel operations, working closely with the responsible Technical Superintendent (TSI) and obtaining necessary approvals.
keep accurate records of electronic and electrical maintenance for all vessels and their equipment.
ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols, leading by example during ship visits and briefings.
oversee the operation and maintenance of all electronic/ electrical systems within the fleet, preparing repair specifications and coordinating with TSI(s).
visit vessels as necessary to support operational needs.
assist the Fleet Manager in implementing, maintaining, and reviewing occupational health and safety standards to ensure all shipboard operations meet company guidelines.
Skills
Education and Qualifications:
An Officer’s license or Technical related University degree
Work Experience:
A background of 5 years in seagoing roles, shipyard operations, or technical shipping management
Job-Specific Skills:
proficient in both written and spoken English
experienced in risk management and incident investigation
trained in emergency response and media awareness
completed a high voltage safety training
skilled in programming and understanding PLC´s
knowledge in Integrated Automation Systems (IAS - e.g. Yokogawa, Kongsberg or Honeywell) is beneficial
