Fleet Personnel Officer

Job Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for Crew Operations for your own assigned vessels
  • You will liaise with the crew on board, clients and agencies to ensure smooth operations and safe manning of the vessels
  • Coordinating within your team and in accordance to contractual agreements with the owners
Skills

Education & Work Experience:

 

  • Commercial qualification / Bachelor degree, ideally with Shipping background or sailing experience
  • Preferably 2-3 years experience in Crew Operations

 

Job Specific Skills:

 

  • Very good knowledge of the vessels’ crew requirements and seafarers’ specifications
  • Advanced communication skills and good team working abilities
  • Preferably strong knowledge of the seafarers’ rights and maritime labour law, including the MLC
  • Knowledge of the maritime legal framework e.g. employers’ obligations, recruitment prerequisites, insurance, etc.
  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Advanced English language skills
