Job Responsibilities

HSSEQ/Marine Operations Superintendent job in Denmark

  • Provide support and assistance to tanker vessels and commercial stakeholders on marine standards matters including safety, security, vetting, cargo, and navigation matters.
  • Responsible for maintaining Flag state and Port state requirements on assigned vessels. This includes coordination of internal/external audits.  
  • Responsible for ensuring tradability on assigned vessels. This includes end to end management of SIRE inspections.  
  • Support vessels and commercial department with expert advice on cargo and tank cleaning operations.
  • Your responsibilities will also include travel activity in terms of vessel inspections and audits, seminars, and customer visits.
Skills

You have excellent communication skills as you will have regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

You thrive in an international environment, and you have experience of providing a service to multiple stakeholders. You have the ability to appreciate and integrate the commercial implications of vetting requirements and be quality conscious.

You enjoy being part of a team and you have proven collaborative and analytical skills. You set aspirational goals.

 

Qualifications:

  • A Master Mariner who has preferably sailed in the rank of Captain with Product and Chemical Tanker experience.
  • Shore based experience would be preferred. Previous experience in a similar role will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent English and communication skills.
  • Incident investigation experience and excellent report writing skills.
  • Experience in interacting with oil majors and Flag States.
  • A candidate holding a valid passport allowing easy worldwide travel.
