International Crewing Operations Director

Job Responsibilities

As an International Crewing Operations Director you will report directly to the Marine Human Resources Director.
 

You shall:
 

  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
  • Ensure all duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis;
  • In close cooperation with MHR Director:
    • supervise ship manning of owner's vessel with the best qualified crew
    • identify training needs, validate and audit the training centers if required
    • implement actions to improve seafarer's health
    • close collaboration with fleet and line managers
    • approve or reject the Superintendent's requests regarding incentives to be granted to seafarers

  • Supervise CMA Ships Singapore compliance with ship manager procedures.
  • Supports CMA Ships Singapore and Crewing Agencies for the daily operations and the management of difficult cases.
  • Follow reports of non-compliance in close cooperation with CSS.
  • Work in close cooperation with CS Singapore Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer
  • Participate in the accidents and incidents investigations when requested,
  • Participate in investigation and resolution of seafarer's complaint
  • MLC regulation watch, certificates and expertise.

Skills
  • Master's degree
  • You have at least 5 years' in the management of vessels and seafarers
  • Fluent in English
  • Contracts of maritime transport knowledge
  • Good understanding of international regulations, law in respect of crewing activities
  • Financial reporting knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skills; clear communication; strong team management and leadership skills
