LNG Ship Shore Interface Advisor

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides Marine expertise support to major capital projects and marine operations
  • Responsible for understanding regulations and operations in a marine environment
  • Supports several service level agreements Chevron Shipping Co. (CSC) has with Australia Business Unit (ABU), Angola LNG, and ALM. These agreements require timely and accurate analysis of the compatibility of LNG vessels with the respective terminals.
  • Support compatibility assessment for CSC Operated fleet vessels at 3rd party terminals as well as internal CSC condensate vessel nominations to Wheatstone Marine Terminal and Gorgon Marine Terminal
  • Assists Marine Terminals Group in conducting Mooring Analysis at non LNG terminals in accordance with the Onshore Marine Standard
  • Position will be a resource to the Marine Terminals Group for other activities such as Incident Investigations, Gap closure activity, etc.
  • Conducts LNG Mooring Analysis at direction of the LNG Marine Terminal Representative
  • Conducts LNG and Condensate Compatibility assessments
  • Supports contract administration of the Service Level Agreements
  • Point of Contact for Singapore Commercial support (GSAT, PSAT)
  • Conducts Mooring Analysis at non-LNG facilities as requested by Terminals Team
  • Assists LNG Marine Terminal Representative in the maintenance of the LNG Desk Manual, SharePoint Library, and One Drive filing system
  • Monitors LNGCCC Group Email box and respond to urgent requests as appropriate
  • Provides coverage back-up to the LNG MTR
Skills
  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Marine Transportation or any relevant field
  • Experience in LNG, LPG and Condensate Tankship shipboard operations as Deck Officer or Engineering Officer
  • Familiarity in LNG Ship Shore Interface
  • Proficiency in Computer programs such as Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge in Acrobat Pro Drawing Dimensional Analysis, TTI Optimoor training, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and Shipboard mooring equipment and mooring configuration
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside of the normal working hours to support urgent operational needs
  • Knowledge in application of 3p software (TTI Optimoor) used in the mooring analysis preferred; if successful candidate does not yet possess this skill, internal and OEM training will be provided

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations

Selected candidate will work in the Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits.

Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
