Carry out duties of ship new building Surveyor in accordance with LR corporate Procedures and as part of a team directed by the Project Manager.
Carry out existing ship surveys and surveys of components at manufacturers works. This will be a secondary role during new building project, and later as a main role.
Conduct the above activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
Maintain the level of an effective and competitive service and ensure that all workload, processes and procedures are effective and efficient and meet business/commercial requirements for both internal and external clients.
Capable of dealing with flexible schedules and multi-tasking
Ready to move to another location within Spain and change role once the project in Navantia San Fernando is complete
Skills
A degree, preferably in Naval Architecture or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme).
Maximum experience of 5 years, as Marine Surveyor, with valid technical competency codes for Ships in Service and Marine Equipment and Components.
Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
Proficiency in the Spanish and English languages commensurate with marine work.
