Marine and Offshore Surveyor

Job Responsibilities

As one of our experts you will assess the safety and integrity of our clients’ ships and offer sound technical advice on meeting industry standards. This means you will:

  • Support newbuild and existing ship surveys for both domestic and foreign flag vessels
  • Support existing offshore facilities surveys (class and statutory)
  • Adhere to contractual requirements such as timeline and budget
  • Provide a great customer experience by incorporating customer feedback into our service delivery
  • Stay up to date with your knowledge via continuous professional development
  • Assess risk and work in a safe manner reporting all incidents and safety observations
Skills

You will be a trusted advisor with sound technical knowledge and the ability to work without supervision, as well as having:

  • Degree or equivalent within a field of study such as Marine Engineering
  • Must have experience as an IACS Class surveyor (Bulker/Tanker/Container/Gas/FPSO/Other)
  • Must have newbuild experience (especially aluminum)
  • Must have ISM/ISPS/MLC auditing experience with a IACS Class Society
  • Experience of surveying domestic vessels to local national codes
  • Strong reasoning skills using both theory and practical methods
  • A growth mindset and belief that customers are at the heart of all we do
