Marine Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the maintenance of the facility is carried out safely, efficiently and with minimal environment impact.
  • Assist offshore with the management and safe operations of the vessel in accordance with policies and procedures;
  • Implement engineering processes and procedures to ensure technical compliance and integrity.
  • Coordinate and maintain effective vessel preventative maintenance programs;
  • All work is performed in accordance with legislation, class, flag and within the Safety/Facility Management Systems.
  • Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed.
  • Asset engineer responsible for the discipline relevant Performance Standard and supporting assurance activities.
  • Provide input to HIRAs, HAZOPs and other safety reviews as directed.
  • Communicate effectively within a multidiscipline design team to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
  • Ensure all technical documents and data are prepared and structured in accordance with relevant design codes, standards and legislation.
  • Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
  • Providing documentation and drawing deliverables on time to meet project deadlines.
  • Taking part and contributing to decommissioning risk assessments and method statements.
  • In-depth knowledge of CMMS – Maximo
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed. The above is an outline of key duties and accountabilities, rather than an exclusive or exhaustive list of responsibilities.   • Management of Marine related MoCs
  • OPEX & CAPEX accountability for operations and decommission process systems
Skills
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Engineering discipline;
  • Meet the requirements of Chartered Professional Engineer (Engineers Australia), Registered Professional Engineer (Professionals Australia).
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) .
  • Relevant operating and maintenance experience on an FPSO or similar Facility
  • Ability to operate within a computer-based maintenance management system.
  • Strong commitment to Health Safety Environment & Quality procedures and initiatives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package
