Marine & Offshore Senior Surveyor

What are you going to do?

  • Surveys of all types of ships during construction and during service life;
  • Surveys of material and equipment intended for marine applications at manufacturers works and laboratories;
  • Understanding and interpreting national and international rules and regulations applicable for marine assets;
  • Understanding the basic principles of risk management
  • Providing good control of projects, including communicating with clients, financial control and timely and accurate reporting;
  • Working area is Istanbul, Turkey.
Skills

What do we ask from you?

  • Qualified and experienced surveyor & auditor;
  • BSc or MSc or equivalent level of qualification in marine engineering or naval architecture, knowledge and experience in both disciplines would be beneficial;
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience (sea going would beneficial);
  • Technically authorised for major survey tasks on various vessel types & special service craft
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills in English as well as Turkish language;
  • To use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to optimise the application of existing and emerging technology;
  • To be able to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to the analysis and solution of engineering problems;
  • Travel both offshore and overseas, sometimes at short notice and in the weekend;
  • Ability to work both independently as well as an effective member of a team;
  • Living in Istanbul
