• Managing a team of Marine Planners, responsible for the Ocean vessel operation of our mainline and feeder services;
• Uses frontline and terminal, fleet, and vessel command knowledge and expertise to enhance processes and network efficiency;
• Drives and executes a reliable and cost-efficient network;
• Responsible for contingency handling related to Marine activities and drives coordination across Ocean Customer Logistics related to same;
• Uses relevant sources and coorporation partners to enhance processes and network efficiency;
• Drives environmental performance, encompassing all marine related activities;
• Works closely with equipment management and capacity planning functions to optimise our network;
• Has responsibility for training and growing employees within the function, improves the way the team works;
• Develops people - coaching and mentoring to build organizational capability and talent.
Skills
• Minimum of 10+ years in similar senior capacity within Ocean logistics;
• Proven track record of leading a team, driving results and building employee engagement;
• Knowledge of Maersk Liner Business operational and commercial processes is an advantage;
• Have analytical skills and is capable of simplifying complex problems through structured and detailed analysis and recommendations;
• Continuous improvement and agility mindset;
• Impactful communicator at various levels of the organization, engaging effectively with all stakeholders.
