Marine Voyage Optimizer

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with ExxonMobil corporate policies, industry standards, and government regulations
  • Manage operations and scheduling activity of ExxonMobil cargoes and third party cargoes on behalf of ExxonMobil
  • Maximize contractual and financial performance of commercial agreements to include working closely with commodity and freight traders
  • Work with freight traders, refining optimizers, terminal operators to ensure cost-efficient and on-time cargo deliveries
  • Ensure all marine equipment including both load and discharge terminals is properly vetted prior to use and act as liaison with SRM on equipment approvals and facilitate closure of gaps
  • Enter information into the scheduling systems (GOM, Navarik, etc.) and maintain accurate information to ensure smooth cargo operations
  • Primary contact on supply related information and resolution of supply issues to create a seamless supply chain experience for customers
  • Work with EM Affiliates to coordinate long-range planning and refinery turnarounds to ensure adequate equipment coverage
  • Protect EM Affiliate operational interests while covering unexpected operational upset requirements and facilitating general interest equipment deployment across circuit
Skills
  • Knowledge of Maritime Industry
  • Knowledge of supply operations, marine chartering, scheduling, and dispatch process
  • Knowledge of transaction accounting and commercial contracts
  • Familiarity with hydrocarbon logistics
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to influence others without authority
  • Sense of ownership and commitment to general interest and high standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and work outside of work schedule to resolve operational issues
