Responsible for coordinating the technical input to the proposal and bid management process, in definition of the resources required (CTRs, CVs) and execution methodology.
Responsible for managing single projects, in accordance with LR’s Commercial Bid Notice, and in line with the Global Projects Management Framework tool (PMF).
Responsible for the safe and effective delivery services to the agreed scope and specification, time scale and costs
Responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of a project in line with the commercial, contractual, and financial requirements of the contract.
Responsible for the management of the client interface by acting as the main point of contact and ensuring that client expectations are met / exceeded and good relationships are maintained / improved.
Undertakes resource planning, organisation, and management as necessary and includes the allocation of man hours to ensure that the project remains profitable and adheres to the cost, time and quality control processes
Supports the execution of plans through contract compliance and includes change control and contract variations and where necessary identifies opportunities to develop additional work
Support the local Business Development team by providing technical input to client engagements
Assist in the creation and monitoring of project schedules, financial tracking, risks and issues plus associated project documentation and supports compliance with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements raising concerns with the Senior Project Manager / Line Manager proactively
Deliver an internal quality control process to co-ordinate the client responses and and carry out reviews of LR engineer’s comments and surveyor’s findings as necessary before issuing out to client
Undertake specific and routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures
Provides regular project and contract reviews, project reporting and close out to project teams and clients
Pursue Continuing Professional Development and maintain a degree of technical and discipline knowledge and awareness.
Skills
Degree preferred in an engineering, project management or science subject
Minimum 5 years’ industry working experience with a sound general engineering knowledge and sound experience of project delivery
Preferential to have experience gained from previous work in the offshore industry
Awareness of United States Regulatory aspects specifically USCG requirements relating to offshore developments
Understanding of Classification Rules and Certification Schemes and their implementation
Able to provide technical and commercial leadership within the responsibilities assigned
Effective application of project management tools and processes (e.g. PMI, APM, Prince2 etc.) whilst adhering to legal and commercial requirements.
Adaptable and well organised with a practical minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Possessing good communication skills, including technical report writing, having the ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines.
Proven experience and knowledge of effective and timely co-ordination of budgets and financial processes relating to various project
Pragmatic, empathetic and credible with clients and have a high standard of personal presentation
Good influencing and motivational skills demonstrated through advice, counsel or facilitating services to others.
