Project Superintendent

Job Responsibilities

As a Project Superintendent, you will be supervising and managing projects, emphasizing safety and technical compliance.

The main role is to supervise and ensure that every required work scope is fully carried out in accordance with repair specifications and class, statutory and applicable workmanship standards.

The Project Superintendent is responsible for ensuring full compliance with corporate policies and the Company’s Safety Management System.

Monitoring Specialists Superintendents, mechanics and ships staff for safety protocol adherence is crucial. You’ll control variation orders within preset limits and report to management for approval.

Evaluating project scopes for cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and reliability is a vital aspect of your role.

You’ll also act as the Company Nominated Representative for shipyards and subcontractors.
 

Skills

We're seeking a highly skilled individual with Technical Engineering qualifications.

Candidates with seagoing experience as a Chief Engineer or similar in the marine and ship repair industry will be preferred.

Extensive experience in managing vessel projects is key, along with a robust grasp of industry safety protocols and compliance standards.

Strong communication, leadership skills and proficiency in project management are essential.

Deep knowledge of company-specific technical standards and procedures will be advantageous.
