Job Responsibilities
QHSE Officer Job In Netherlands
Forming part of our QHSE team, you are responsible for:
- Supporting our organisation in respect of:
o ISM certification;
o Internal and external audits,
o TMSA (Tanker Management Self-Assessment);
o ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001;
o Maintaining and developing the QA Management System.
- Checking, analysing and reporting in the QA system and various other business processes;
- Analysing the execution of QHSE procedures and policies;
- Reporting on the results of activities, benchmarks and industry developments, and proposing improvements to QHSE processes;
- Performing accident/incident investigations;
- Analysing root causes and determining improvements to practices, standards, procedures and/or systems;
- Reviewing Safety Committee- and other QHSE-related reports;
- Organising management reviews, formulating results and coordinating action plans;
- Providing follow-up to vettings, port state controls and other on-board inspections;
- Ensuring smooth communication between Departments and other stakeholders.
Skills
Our preferred candidate has:
- A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Safety Management;
- Two to five years’ experience in a similar position;
- Seagoing experience or a nautical background would be an advantage;
- Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English are essential;
