Quality Inspector

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring quality inspections are completed on inbound and outbound deliveries for a prestigious aerospace customer.
  • Measuring and inspecting parts to relevant engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • You will ensure products fit air worthiness criteria’s and that non-confirming stock is prevented from entering the supply chain.
  • Visually inspecting parts with high attention to detail using fist principal methods, tools and auditing processes in line with regulations.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with the client and internal customers ensuring issues are escalated appropriately and recorded to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • You will work in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications.
Skills
  • A recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering is essential.
  • Previous experience gained in a quality inspection role is essential.
  • A practical understanding of dimensional measurements and the ability to interpret technical engineering drawings.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of using a variety of engineering equipment.
  • Experience gained in the Aerospace/Aviation industry would be desirable.
