Safety & Health Officer

Job Responsibilities

  • A SME (Subject Matter Expert) and OE (Operational Excellence) advisor for COEM (Contractor Operational Excellence Management), and OH (Occupational Hygiene) processes.
  • Steward the COEM process which include COEM Consequence & Capability assessments, Contractor Competency assessments, e-COEM tool and Safeguard Assurance.
  • Lead and facilitate Contractor Safety Committee meetings, COEM Leadership meetings, Contractor Mass Toolbox meetings and Contractor Safety inspection programs.
  • Facilitate the SIC (Safety Induction Course) and Safe Work Procedures trainings in collaboration with site contractor leaders.
  • Assure the quality of JSRA (Job Safety & Risk Assessment) developed by workgroups.
  • Develop and coordinate HSE programs for Turnaround and significant shutdown events.
  • Engage workgroups working in the field in COW V&V (Verification & Validation) coaching.
  • Steward the OH programs and analyse the data collected.
  • Track & analyse COEM, OH metrics and contractor KPIs (Key Performance indexes).
  • Build COEM & OH fluency and competency in the organization.
Skills
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental), Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environmental or related discipline.
  • Strong planning, facilitation and communications skills.
  • Able to work independently and a team player.
  • Registered WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) officer will be an added advantage.
  • Registered Fire Safety Manager or Port Facility Security Officer will be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with Chevron OEMS (Operation Excellence Management System) will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrate "We Lead" behaviors.
