Safety Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections and observations of work areas with supervisors and the crew members related to matters of Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • Review and provide feedback to supervisors and crew on HAZID, safeguard and risk assessment process, procedures and documentation. Facilitation of these activities can also be required.
  • Coordinate, prepare and implement OE/HSE orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Coordinate, prepare and implement OE/HSE training sessions.
  • Provide topics to, attend, and evaluate toolbox & weekly Safety meetings, and provide instructive guidance to the supervisors conducting the meetings.
  • Facilitation, completion and submission of incident investigations and reports.
  • Conduct Lifting device inspections, hazard analysis, safeguard V&V activities.
  • Verify the lockout/tagout procedures, certifications of equipment and operators of well servicing equipment, cranes, forklifts, etc.
  • Provide HSE support with program specific CHESM/ COEM plans. Provide HSE support in execution of IFO roadmap and ensure action items are completed prior to mobilization to field and communicate plan expectations to effected workgroups and related contractors prior to mobilization to the field. Identify and coordinate applicable OE training.
Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or university equivalent required. Mechanical; Industrial; Oil & Gas; Health and Safety and/or Environmental degree.
  • Significant relevant HSE experience required. 05 -10 years of experience.
  • Health, Safety and Environment Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis - Examines HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence-based investigations with accurate root cause analysis, resulting in effective corrective actions, accurate reporting and avoiding repeated incidents.
  • Oil & Gas / Production O&M and construction related onsite HSE experience.
  • Medium to high level of English language skill (spoken, written, reading).

  • PDVSA & OSHA Standards knowledge
  • Empresa Mixta experience.
  • Team Lead experience.
