CMA CGM is currently recruiting for a permanent position in our Operations team. Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Ship Manager will have the following responsibilities -
* Plan and co-ordinate cost effective cargo stowage and utilisation of ANL and its Consortium Members' vessels.
* To plan and issue schedules of vessels engaged in designated trades in order to optimize asset utilization.
* Co-ordinate and provide technical and cost assistance in the carriage of hazardous, break bulk and out-of-gauge cargo.
* To pursue operational efficiency and cost saving through continuous improvement.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes -
* Previous experience in terminal/shipboard operational aspect of the shipping industry
* Tertiary qualifications in nautical studies and seafaring experience will be looked on favourably
* High level of conceptual and analytical skills
* Previous experience in ship planning using MACS 3 is highly desirable
* Australian citizenship or permanent residence
