Follows through the entire stowage process with stakeholders at any time of the day wherever ships are located
Evaluate and determine the suitability of vessels deployed in the service based on trade requirements and vessel characteristics
Constantly review and update SOPs to ensure optimal performance for the team and all stakeholders involved
Work closely with the various internal and external stakeholders (PSA, Head Office, regional operations, ship masters, equipment managers, husbandary agents etc.) to ensure smooth operations
Identify all potential issues which may affect operations, highlighting and following up with the necessary actions to prevent/mitigate any impact from contingencies
Skills
Minimum a Diploma Holder preferably from Maritime Studies/Logistics/Engineering and/or with 1 to 3 years’ working experience, preferably in the shipping industry
May require fieldwork at terminal occasionally
Knowledge of basic container stowage planning software and experience in Port Terminal operations will be an added advantage
