Team Lead, Fleet-Based Application Support Job In Vancouver,BC,Canada.
The Team Lead, Fleet-Based Application support provides application support for Fleet-based Business Applications, including NS5, Shipmate, Hull Manager, Seagull, VRS, ECDIS, MAC S3. This position acts as the main point of contact for the corporate application support and related projects. This position will track issues, investigate problems and determine resolutions/or capture enough detail to escalate when required. Responsibilities will include assisting clients by troubleshooting and problem solving, supporting upgrades and enhancements, execution of application maintenance procedures, testing, change management and documentation
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads the design, development, testing, adoption and support of all Fleet-Based Business Applications
- Provides application support by understanding company business processes and how assigned applications, data structure and workflow work
- Ensures assigned applications operate at optimum levels through regular maintenance
- Acts as a strategic business partner who can lead and influence discussions with business users and application developers to identify bugs, recommend and implement enhancements
- Provides identification, tracking and resolution of application problems, both on-board and within the office, on a day-to-day basis via the IT Ticketing system
- Document issues, observations and outcomes accurately to ensure enough information is capture to escalate issues as required
- Liaises with fellow team members to seek clarification and resolve issues
- Develops and executes test plans, tests new software versions as made available by the vendor and documents test results when required
- Acts as a mentor and leader to other teammates and partners with other IT team members to assist and collaborate
- Performs other duties as required
