Technical Superintendent

Job Responsibilities

You are the first point of contact and advise the captains of our ships. You manage dockings, repairs and maintenance of our state-of-the-art equipment. You are also responsible for it

 

  • Drawing up technical and financial final reports;
  • Advising on necessary technical improvements;
  • Assisting the crew in resolving technical issues on board, by phone, email or on board;
  • Monitoring the logistics process of purchase orders;
  • Checking and monitoring maintenance and safety performance.

 

Skills

In addition to a solid technical background, it is important that you are familiar with working with different nationalities and building a lasting connection. You have a flexible and proactive attitude and you keep a good overview of the budget and planning. In addition, you have

 

  • A completed HBO education in Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in marine or shipbuilding repairs;
  • Experience with carrying out repairs and dockings;
  • Living in or wanting to live in the Netherlands and willing to work irregular hours and travel internationally;
  • Excellent command of the English language, verbally and in writing.
