Vessel Manger

Job Responsibilities

  • The overall management and technical support to 4-5 assigned vessels
  • To ensure that your assigned vessels always are in compliance with classification and flag requirements
  • Responsibility for OPEX and dry-dock budgets for the assigned vessels
  • Technical issues resolutions for assigned vessels
  • Management of vessel maintenance ensuring optimal operational efficiency
  • Enabling and warranting that the vessels always are tradable
  • To act as a custodian for ensuring that the vessels’ staff adhere to the company’s quality guidelines, standards, and procedures
  • To act as ambassador for our performance leadership program on the assigned vessels
  • To promote and drive our One TORM Safety Culture
Skills
  • A Marine Engineer educational background with excellent results
  • A marine background and professional experience as engineer on board a tanker vessel is preferred but not mandatory
  • At least three years’ experience from a similar role
  • A team-oriented personality with intercultural understanding, international mindset and awareness
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Customer focus and ability to communicate easily with both technical and commercial staff
