Vessel Operations Analyst

Job Responsibilities

The Vessel Operations Analyst contributes to the vessel routing process as required on a shift basis, 24/7/365. Provides assistance to the Route Advisors with Route planning - Voyage optimization and Weather routing within customer contracted time requirements.

The role

• Monitors incoming and outgoing communication on common mailing tool. Shares important information with the Vessel Operations Specialist
• Manages communication system
• Communicates with Operators/Ship Masters as part of our quick response
• Prepares and sends Wx updates to Vessels under supervision of managers
• Periodically monitors the 24/7 customer service routing phone line on a rotational basis, including night hours
• Willing to work during night hours on rotational basis
• Assists in routine office administration
• Assist in training of personnel regarding company products either in person or remotely via the web
• Contributes to the success of the team as a whole thru consistent and professional work ethic, collaboration and input to process improvement
