Vessel Performance Manager

Job Responsibilities

You will be working closely with Ships Onboard Management team and Technical Managers in identifying optimization opportunities in vessel operations and collaborating with relevant stakeholders in finding solutions to optimize.
Key Tasks
•Monitor & analyze ship’s Daily, Monthly Performance reports/ trends on energy performance indicators and identify the areas of optimization.
•Collaborate with Ships Onboard Management in optimizing identified performance related issues and assist in providing insights and technical support.
•Collaborate with Technical Superintendents and Time Charter Vessel Owners/managers in addressing technical issues impacting energy optimal operation of ships.
•Analyse data to identify patterns and provide insights on preventing a repetition of failure or missed opportunity.
•Provide Insights/Knowledge to Liner Operation Teams on technical performance and work closely with them when required to ensure Service Reliability.
•Develop knowledge database and provide training/knowledge sharing to Ship’s on-Board management as required.
•Support projects on improving Energy Efficiency.

Skills

•Bachelor’s degree preferably in Mechanical/Marine Engineering, with strong understanding of Ship’s On Board operations.
•Sea going experience with experience in Senior Ranks is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates with specialization in Marine Engines field with relevant experience on Wartsila Engines/MAN Engines and Waste Heat Recovery systems will have an added advantage.
•Self-Motivated, Energetic Individual with strong Analytical mindset.
•Should possess good communication skills and can work efficiently with multicultural teams. Additionally, you have enhanced problem-solving skills and interest in tackling challenges with innovative solution and maximizing the use of resources available.
•Should be able to enjoy working in fast paced, result oriented environment.
•Should be able to influence/lead discussions with stakeholders in achieving results.
